Q: How can I pay for the search?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.  Your background investigation will not be processed unless valid credit card information is provided and payment is authorized. To avoid delays, please insure that accurate information is provided. We can also accept a check or money order

Q: How long will the criminal search take?

The results for New Jersey and Pennsylvania residents will take approximately seven to ten businesses days. Most out of state searches are usually completed in two to three business days. The criminal research process cannot be expedited.

Q: Do you provide a copy of the background check to the student, as well as the institution?

Yes, the institution will receive the background report within an hour of its completion.  If you are a student returning to view the results of your background check, please enter the request date and key from your e-mail and you last name in the Applicant Login box,  then click Continue.  If you have any questions please call 732-998-8406

Q:Why do you need my SSN?

The social security number is used during the search to confirm the applicant’s identity, determine the proper jurisdiction based on applicant’s address history and aid in the identification of criminal records.

Q: Is my personal information secure?

Yes. Your personal information, including your credit card information,  is protected by multiple layers of security. Neither the college purposes, only the last four digits of your social security number will be in your background investigation

Q:What if someone disagrees with the results of the report?

The applicant has the right to dispute the accuracy or completeness of any information provided by a consumer reporting agency.  If inaccuracies exist contact the agency or court , If you need assistance identifying the specific information/records that you want to dispute Trionaid can help you navigate this process.
